What is Counselling & Psychotherapy?
At times problems can get on top of us and sometimes we feel stuck. The need to talk about them becomes even more difficult, so it becomes impossible to talk to a family member, Therapy gives what an untrained listener can not, that is hearing what you are not saying, Sometimes it is in more than words, it is how you feel. A professional will work with you to explore your experiences, feelings and issues and facilitate you to make sense your experiences. Counselling can provide that space away from your environment, so you can work with the therapist in the safety of the therapeutic frame, which is part of the psychodynamic school. This will help you to identify and make the changes you desire
There are many different models in therapy however, psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy deal with the underlying problem’s. For example people can go to their doctor for many health conditions, for example, a feeling of choking, tightness in their chest, headaches, back pain not sleeping feelings of dread, feeling anxious and vulnerable in social and work settings. Finds it difficult to eat in social settings. These physical conditions may be caused through; anxiety, panic, stress disorders, bullying in the workplace and in relationships.
What are The Benefits?
Psychotherapy and Counselling therapy is a well-established talking treatment for emotional and mental problems. The aim is to uncover and discuss issues related to the client’s emotional and psychological problems and help the client to use their self-awareness, to move away from negative thought patterns. Physical symptoms may also be alleviated, improved self-esteem, better motivation and enhanced personal relationships, in general result from successful treatment.
What does it involve?
Therapy can be carried out in a one to one, couple or group. Techniques vary. In our practice we acknowledge that every client is unique. In therapy we work within a therapeutic frame. This is an important part of the therapy. The client will always have the same day and time on a weekly basis. The therapist will not book another client in their space and unless of fire or accident, the client will be in the safety of the frame. There will be no interruption while therapy is in progress. It is important that the client feels safe and comfortable to talk about what brings them to therapy. Client Confidentiality is paramount within our practice.

NLP & Contemporary Life
NLP explores the relationship between how we think (neuro), how we communicate both verbally and non-verbally (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotion (programmes). It is both an epistemology, in that it studies how we know what we know and a methodology for creating practical descriptions of how we function as human beings. The purpose of NLP is often stated as being to study, describe and transfer models of human excellence (Modelling). One definition has it, "the study of subjective experience"
As NLP offers a window (through modelling) into the way in which we function (i.e. our neuro-linguistic programmes), it provides a technology for creating change. If you want to have more choices about your behaviour and emotions, to enhance your communication and relationships, and develop new abilities in your thinking, then it is claimed that NLP can provide you with the tools for accomplishing this
